Talisman Gallery Show

So, what’s with all the frogs? Damned if I know for sure. Maybe all the wet weather. Maybe the webs in my toes.

My art is my breath, my heartbeat, my “frog eggs.” I see and create images… layers…

color upon color,

paper on paper,

paste,

ink,

paint.

Then I remove lots of “stuff”…

wetting it down,

sanding,

rewetting,

manipulating surfaces

finding what I see…

This is my swamp, my fertile soup—intuitive, passionate, sticky, wet, dark and light.

All part of my frog’s life…
